For this post, we wanted to give you some of our top picks for drink and dining options in and around Los Angeles.
We are however currently working on a detailed travel guide for Los Angeles which will be published soon.
So without a further ado lets explore some of our top picks for drink and dine in options in and around Los Angeles.
Having Drink and a Dessert at the Peaks Restaurant in Mount San Jacinto State Park
Mount San Jacinto State Park is in the San Jacinto Mountains, of the Peninsular Ranges system, in Riverside County, California, United States. A majority of the park is within the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. The park is near the Greater Los Angeles and San Diego metropolitan areas.
This is undobtedly one of the best experience near Los Angeles. Although this is about 2hrs drive from Downtown LA, this park is definitely worth of a visit.
What we did here?
There are plenty of activities starting from Hiking, Camping, Guided Nature Walks, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and more. Our favorite activity here is the Tramway. Although we only did that in the park since we were a little short on time.

Dine in at the Restaurant at the top of Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
In order to get to the restaurant at the top of Tramway, you will need to purchase tickets for the tram and the tram ride itself is an amazing experience.

At the amazing Peaks restaurant at the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, you will get spectacular views of Coachella valley combined with delectable food which will provide you the perfect dining experience. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner. There is also a Pine’s Cafe, a cafeteria-style restaurant.

Dinner at Gracias Madre restaurant in West Hollywood
If you are a big fan of Mexican food like us, you will definitely love Gracias Madre restaurant in West Hollywood area. We had amazing dinner here and we definitely recommend.

Note: Please do call them and also reserve for a table online on OpenTable before going there. It can get very crowded especially in the evenings for dinner.
The only thing we didn’t like about this place or for any other dining place in LA is paying for the parking. You can get Valet parking here but be prepared to pay 20$ for it.
You can do a street parking instead but unfortunately its very difficult to get a parking space on the streets.
Coffee & Espresso at the Central Perk Cafe shop in Warner Studios
When you do Warner Bros Studios tour, do make sure to try out coffee at Central Park cafe.
The best part of the Studios was going to this coffee shop which had the same setting as that of Friends and we ordered the popular Rachel’s coffee drink. Although you will need to pay for it 🙂
Apart from Coffee, there are also plenty of hot lunch options available here.
Street Food at Dirt Dog
We must say this was the most unique dining places we ever visited. If you are looking for some hot dog (both veg and meat options) and some nice corn on the cob, this is the place for you.
We recommend trying their Veggie Dog, Dirty Corn and Fries. They all were amazing. Definitely 5 stars for the food.
We definitely plan on going here for our next visit to LA.

Dinner at Anaheim Packing House in Orange County
If you are in Orange County, do visit the Anaheim Packing district for upscale food court with local vendors and bars in a historic 1919 citrus-packing house.
There are variety of cuisines starting from Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese (famous Gravity Noodles), Vegan options, Mexican and much more…

Although we did visit few other dine in places in and around LA, these were our top favorites.
